Welcome

Introduction

Coleridge and Beyond started out as a “lockdown project”, illustrating a series of walks around the Coleridge district and nearby parts of Cambridge as a photographic time capsule. These can be found on the Walks page. The Galleries pages contain photos of public art, including the Cows About Cambridge cow sculptures. New content is added periodically and summarised in the Blog. For more background, see the About page.

No new pages or blog posts have been added to this site recently, but now I’m retired I’ve moved it to a new server with improved image galleries and viewer lightbox, updated the Notes pages and fixed up some outdated links. More improvements are planned. Watch this space!

Latest Updates

  • Chisholm Trail Phase 1 – Six Months On
Here are the last photos taken this summer. I actually walked the Chisholm Trail again on the Platinum Jubilee weekend in June, about six months after it opened, but I’ve only just found time to create the Chisholm Trail Phase 1 – Six Months On walk page from the photos I took then.
  • Book Benches Gallery
I’ve added a new Book Benches Gallery page, containing photos of all the Wild In Art Book Benches that were placed around Cambridge between July and September 2022.
  • Dinky Doors Gallery Update
This is the first update this summer as we are no longer in lockdown and I’m working more of the time. I photographed two new Dinky Doors and two refurbished ones at the same time as the Wild In Art Book Benches, for which I hope to create a gallery page soon.
