The East Fields of Cambridge
An academic paper describing the history of fields on the east side of Cambridge, on the Capturing Cambridge website. I came across this while trying to find out what the field in the southeast corner of Coldham’s Common by Barnwell Road is called or used for. (It shows it as Augers Close, but I think nowadays it’s just called Barnwell Field.)
Walks Round Cambridge
This website describes several walks around Cambridge, with themes such as public art, churches or shopping. The emphasis and style is totally different from mine, more in the style of a visitor’s or new arrival’s guide, and it’s well worth exploring.
